Wheel Block System

The Demag DRS 400 wheel set system is a component for electrically driven material handling along tracks. It consists of a wheel and a spheroidal-graphite cast iron protective housing for movement on a flat surface or track, carrying loads of up to 30 tons during the process. In addition to being used as crane accessories, these wheels are also suitable for heavy-duty mobile doors, heavy-duty electric flatbed transfer vehicles, and other scenarios.

Travel wheel selection

Demag wheels can be customized according to actual conditions, including flangeless guide wheels, single flange wheels, double flange wheels, and wheels of different materials, such as spheroidal-graphite cast iron (GGG 70) wheels, polyurethane-coated wheels, stainless steel wheels, etc.

Housing features

• The ductile cast iron (GGG 70) housing with five sides closed protects the wheel from external mechanical influences.

• Any unnecessary housing hole positions can be sealed with the included plugs.

• The wheel housing surface is coated with a rust-proof coating

• The connection ports of the housing body are strictly measured and tested to ensure accurate installation

• Accessories such as laser systems or track sweeper guide wheels can be easily installed in the reserved holes of the DRS 400 housing body.

• The reserved installation holes of the Demag housing body ensure that a variety of installation methods can be quickly realized, including top connection, pin connection, end connection, and side connection.
