Wheel Block System

Demag single flange wheel housings are flexible, low-wear, and highly fault-tolerant, and can be used for heavy-duty transfer vehicles, rotating structures, or turntables. Demag ranges are DRS 112, DRS 160, DRS 200, DRS 250, DRS 315, DRS 400, DRS 500.

Advantages of single flange wheel block

The single flange design has multiple operational advantages:

• Reduced track and wheel wear

By guiding the structure from only one side, the single flange minimizes lateral pressure, thereby reducing long-term wear on the track and wheel.

• Easier alignment

The single flange wheel allows for minor deviations in track alignment, which is critical for large-span cranes or thermally expanding structures.

• Prevents jams

Single flange wheels help prevent operating issues on curved tracks or with minor misalignments, making them a more forgiving solution in harsh environments.

• Cost-effective and easy to maintain

Single flange wheels are less expensive and easier to inspect and replace than double flange wheels.

• Compatible with modular systems

As part of the DRS wheel hub range, they can be integrated with Demag standard modular crane components, allowing for faster installation and greater design flexibility.
