Technical Specification

DRS 315: The series name and size. The number represents a nominal wheel diameter of 315 mm.

A65: Wheel shape and width. A denotes a wheel with two flanges, and 65 typically refers to the tread width or the distance between flanges designed for specific rail profiles.

A: Wheel material. This usually indicates high-quality spheroidal graphite cast iron (e.g., GJS 700), which provides excellent self-lubricating properties and minimizes rail wear.

90: Connection size. Refers to the diameter or specific dimension of the splined shaft/drive connection.

K: Mounting type. Indicates the housing design, usually featuring precision-machined surfaces for top or side mounting.

X: Variant/Special option. A placeholder often used for standard configurations or minor custom adjustments (such as special coatings).

A50: Arrangement code. Specific to the bolting pattern or the interface geometry used to attach the block to the end carriage.
